Example of handwriting in Riq'a Script
Riq’a script, also known as Ruq’a, comes from the way the script was used in the 18th century on small pieces of cloth and paper.
The script is still widely used today. It is known for its simple form composed of short clipped letters, unlike many Arabic types that are designed to be decorative. It is ideally used to set large blocks of type. Because of its simplistic form, it is easy to convert it into a digital version.
